Her passion is pregnancy, labor and birth. After witnessing the birth of her baby brother in high school, she knew she was destined to become a midwife, and work with women on their journey through pregnancy, labor and birth.

Jenna is passionate for the midwifery model of care and holistic treatment of women using evidence-based-practice with a non-interventional approach. She is drawn to the health of women and their families. With her experience, she is prepared to guide you in creating a pregnancy, labor and birth experience that meets your specific needs and goals.

In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family. She and her partner have been together for 7 years, and married for 3 years, they have a son together, in which she had a natural, un-medicated labor and birth. She also enjoys “wining and dining” and trying some of the best local cuisine in town. Some of her favorite things to do are listening to live music, dancing, and traveling.

WHAT IS A CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE? (CNM)

A midwife is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree and certification by the American College of Nurse Midwives. Midwives are specially-trained to provide expertise in supporting women to maintain a healthy pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, family planning, and any additional gynecological needs of women, while emphasizing the importance of education and health.

THE MIDWIFE MODEL OF CARE

The Midwife Model of Care is built on the foundation of the natural processes of pregnancy and birth.

The Midwife Model of Care is comprised of:

  • Monitoring the mother – physical, mental and social well-being
  • Providing the mother – personalized education, counseling, prenatal care, and hands-on support during labor, delivery and the postpartum period
  • Reducing the need for technological interventions
  • Recognizing and referring those women who require obstetrical attention

The application of this patient-centered model of care has demonstrated the reduction of incidences regarding birth injuries, traumas and cesarean sections.
